inspection. To produce anything in public, so that
it may be taken into possession. To present; to offer
publicly or officially; to file of record. To adminis-
ter; to cause to be taken, as medicines. To submit
to a court or officer in the course of proceedings.
As a noun, a paper or document produced and
exhibited to a court during a trial or hearing, or to
a person taking depositions, or to auditors or arbi-
trators as a voucher, or in proof of facts, or as oth-
erwise connected with the subject matter, and
which, on being accepted, is marked for identifica-
tion and annexed to the deposition, report, or
other principal document, or filed of record, or
otherwise made a part of the case.
A paper, document, chart, map, or the like,
referred to and made a part of an AFFIDAVIT,
PLEADING, or brief. An item of physical, tangible
